Jo has been practicing yoga off and on for the past 10 years but it wasn’t until she hit the hot room in Cambridge that she found a practice that not only did she physically connect with but also emotionally. 16 years as an Addictions Counsellor has taught Jo the importance of self-care and one of the best ways to do that? “Hit your mat with no expectations, a curious mind and an open heart”. After one year of lots of sweat, she became an ambassador at MYC in 2015 to continue to grow her practice and submerge herself within the 7 pillars of the Moksha community. Fast forward to July 2016 Kelowna, one month of intense training in beautiful British Columbia and Jo found the teaching bug.
Jo finds most of her inspiration for classes from the community members and seeks to set intention (as well as good playlist) to each class. “I have a huge love and appreciation of the human body, breath and just being present”.
You can find her running around Cambridge and Brantford; literally, this gal loves a good run or race and will likely encourage you to get out there with her. And always, not far behind her, you will find her awesome son Arlo! He is often in studio and has been known to lend a hand when needed- future ambassador in the making right here.
